ABSTRACT:
The present process causes selective removal of a predetermined anionic or cationic constituent from a mixture containing a plurality of constituents by contacting the mixture with an extraction agent so as to remove the desired constituent from the mixture, and if desired eluting the constituent from the extraction agent, thus recovering the extracting agent for further use. The extraction agent has the general formula
