ABSTRACT:
Process for producing a compound of the formula ##STR1## by selectively reducing a compound of the formula ##STR2## in a strong acid medium with excess molar equivalent of reducing agent so that the OH adjacent to X.sub.1 is reduced to H and if Q is OH in the starting material, it optionally may be reduced H.
