ABSTRACT:
A process for reducing discoloration of fibrous cellulosic material, treated at temperatures above about 175.degree. C. with a treating solution of a polycarboxylic acid and a phosphate salt curing catalyst, comprises adding to the treating solution an inorganic boron-oxygen compound.
