ABSTRACT:
A process for the production of phosphine-borane complexes represented by the general formula:or salts thereof: [wherein R1, R2and R3are each independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an optionally substituted alkyl group, an optionally substituted cycloalkyl group, an optionally substituted aryl group, or an optionally substituted heterocyclic group (with the proviso that R1and R2together with the adjacent phosphorus atom may form a 4- to 6-membered ring)], characterized by converting a compound represented by the general formula:in a solvent in the presence of a borane reagent: [wherein each symbol is as defined above].
