ABSTRACT:
A process for producing an alkoxysilane-based compound having the general formula:wherein, R1is an unsubstituted or substituted monovalent hydrocarbon group of 1 to 20 carbon atoms which may contain an ether linkage oxygen atom, or a group of a formula: R2O— where R2is an unsubstituted or substituted monovalent hydrocarbon group of 1 to 20 carbon atoms which may contain an ether linkage oxygen atom, R3has an identical definition to that of R1, a is 0 or 1, and n is 1, 2, or 3, wherein (a) an alcohol compound of the formula (1):wherein, R1and a are as defined above, and (b) a halogenated organosilicon compound of the general formula (2):in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="lead"?Xn—SiR3)4−n  (2)in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="tail"?wherein, R3and n are as defined above, and X is a chlorine, bromine or iodine atom, are subjected to a dehydrohalogenation reaction in presence of (c1) a tertiary amine other than (c2) described below, and (c2) 1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undecene-7 and/or 1,5-diazabicyclo[4.3.0]nonene-5.
