ABSTRACT:
This invention discloses zirconia-containing grinding media in the preparation of magnetic disc coating and method for producing such grinding media. The grinding media essentially consists of zirconia-sintered body containing 3.6% to 8.0% by weight of yttrium oxide, the zirconia sintered body having a means grain size of less than 2 .mu.m and the relative theoretical density of more than 98.0%.
