ABSTRACT:
The disclosure describes a process for preparing a TiCl.sub.3 ether complex, such as TiCl.sub.3 (THF).sub.3, by reaction of corresponding TiCl.sub.4 ether complex with a metal powder, which produces a soluble metal chloride complex, in ether solvent. The TiCl.sub.3 ether complex that is prepared has a low aluminum content.
