ABSTRACT:
There is provided a process for producing a stable macromomycin (hereinafter often referred to as MCR) powder which comprises adding a stablilizer selected from the group consisting of saccharides, amino acids and salts thereof, organic acid salts, inorganic acid salts and a chelating agent to a solution of macromomycin purified from fermentation broth prior to dehydration as by lyophilization.
