ABSTRACT:
This invention, with the object of producing a porous polymer from a water-in-oil type high internal phase emulsion, provides a method for the production of a porous polymer comprising a step of applying a physical treatment such asshaving to the surface of a porous polymer obtained by polymerizing the emulsion. By the physical treatment, it is made possible to diminish the difference in texture between the surface part and the inner part of the porous polymer and improve efficiently the absorption property of the porous polymer.
