ABSTRACT:
A process for producing an olefin copolymer rubber containing 25 to 75% by weight of propylene, which comprises polymerizing ethylene and propylene, or ethylene, propylene and at least one nonconjugated diene, in solution in the presence of a catalyst, said catalyst being composed of (A) a Ti-containing solid component precipitated from a liquid product obtained by reacting a titanium tetrahalide with an organomagnesium compound in a halogenated hydrocarbon solvent in the presence of an ether represented by the general formula R.sup.1 OR.sup.2 wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are identical or different and each represents a hydrocarbon group having 2 to 12 carbon atoms, and (B) an organoaluminum compound.
