ABSTRACT:
A process for producing .alpha.-olefin polymers having high crystallinity and good particle form, with a high yield is provided. The polymerization therefor is carried out in the presence of a preactivated catalyst suitable particularly to gas phase polymerization or gas phase polymerization following slurry or bulk polymerization.
The catalyst is prepared by reacting a reduction solid prepared by reducing TiCl.sub.4 with an organoaluminum compound, with an electron donor and an electron acceptor to obtain a solid product, and
