ABSTRACT:
A process for preparing a silver halide developing agent of the formula: ##STR1## where R.sup.1 can be the same or different substituent which will not impair the functionality of the compound as a silver halide developing agent. Specific substituents include hydrogen, alkyl radicals and alkoxy radicals among others. The silver halide developing agents are known as "ligand developers" and are particularly useful in diffusion transfer photographic products and processes.
