ABSTRACT:
Process for preparing superconductive fiber from a dispersion of a particulate precursor of a superconductive oxide in a solution of an organic polymer in an organic solvent. The process includes the steps of forming a spinnable dispersion of the precursor in the solution, extruding the dispersion into fiber, and firing the fiber at a temperature of at least 950.degree. C. to form superconductive fiber.
