ABSTRACT:
A process for preparing polycarbonate from a bisphenoxy fluorene in which, to obtain a reaction mixture in which the bisphenoxy fluorene is dissolved, the bisphenoxy fluorene is reacted with a carbonate precursor at an elevated temperature, for example about 50.degree. C. or more.
