Perfluoro carbonyl compounds react with hexafluoro propene epoxide in the presence of dimethylamino-difluoro-phosphorane producing perfluorinated carboxylic acid fluorides with ether linkages. Among the carbonyl compounds which can be used are perfluorinated ketones, acid fluorides of the formula
