ABSTRACT:
A process is described for preparing oxidized polyethylene waxes by oxidizing such waxes with oxygen or oxygen-containing gases at from 120 to 250.degree. C. under a pressure of from 1 to 200 bar, which involves conducting the oxidation reaction in the presence of an ethylene-(meth)acrylic acid copolymer.
