ABSTRACT:
A process for preparing an organic pentavalent phosphorus compound comprising oxidizing an organic trivalent phosphorus compound with an aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution in the presence of an inorganic or organic base at a temperature of 0.degree. C. to 50.degree. C. to obtain the corresponding organic pentavalent phosphorus compound.
