ABSTRACT:
o-Alkylfluorobenzenes are advantageously prepared by heating the corresponding chloroformates to from 70.degree. to 200.degree. C. in the liquid phase in the presence of hydrogen fluoride and in the presence of an inert diluent other than a halogenated alkane.
