ABSTRACT:
An insoluble electrode for electrolysis is prepared by coating a solution or slurry comprising palladium oxide and a platinum compound which can be thermally decomposed to form platinum metal, and optionally another salt or oxide, on a conductive substrate and drying it and baking it at elevated temperature.
