ABSTRACT:
A process for preparing a metal oxygen composition capable of dehydrocoupling toluene wherein metal oxides such as Sb.sub.2 O.sub.3, PbO, and Bi.sub.2 O.sub.3 are admixed with an organic media such as isobutanol and heated to form a metal oxygen precursor composition which is recovered and calcined is disclosed.
