ABSTRACT:
Hydroxydiphenyl is prepared by dehydrogenating a starting material comprising completely and/or partly hydrogenated hydroxydiphenyl in a gaseous phase in the presence of a dehydrogenation catalyst and a compound having the formula ##SPC1##
