ABSTRACT:
Glass fiber mats are prepared by binding glass fibers with a resinous component, wherein the resinous component is an unsaturated polyester resin powder having a melting point of 80.degree. to 130.degree. C and a molecular weight of 2,500 to 7,000 obtained by reacting (A) one mole of a dicarboxylic acid component comprising an .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated dicarboxylic acid or anhydride thereof, alone or in admixture thereof with a saturated dicarboxylic acid, with (B) 0.9 to 1.1 moles of a polyol component containing at least 50 molar percent of bis(.beta.-hydroxy-ethyl) terephthalate of the formula: ##STR1##
