ABSTRACT:
The present invention relates to a novel, catalyst-free method for preparing brominated telomers of chlorotrifluoroethylene. The process comprises reacting chlorotrifluoroethylene with a brominated telogen at a temperature in excess of 200.degree. C. for a time sufficient to produce the telomer.
