ABSTRACT:
Compounds comprising selected N-substituted .beta.-amino-.alpha.-benzyl-acrylonitriles and methods of preparing said compounds substantially free from the corresponding benzalacrylonitrile.
The compounds are useful as intermediates in the preparation of antibacterial and antimalarial agents.
