ABSTRACT:
A process for preparing an electrophotographic imaging member comprising providing a nickel substrate, heating the nickel substrate to a temperature of at least 260.degree. C. in the presence of oxygen until a continuous layer of nickel oxide forms on the substrate and depositing at least one photoconductive insulating layer on the continuous layer of nickel oxide.
