ABSTRACT:
A process for preparing a substantially lump free acrylic resin emulsion by emulsion polymerization of one or more acrylic monomers in water in the presence or absence of an emulsifier or a dispersing agent, wherein the polymerization is carried out in the presence a water-insoluble resin which is immiscible with the acrylic resin in the emulsion and has a softening or melting point of 20.degree. C. or higher.
