ABSTRACT:
There is described a process for synthesizing 4-aminopyrazolo(3,4-d)pyrimidine wherein 3-amino-4-cyanopyrazole is reacted with formamidine or a salt of formamidine at a temperature in the range of from about 85.degree. C. to about 125.degree. C.
