ABSTRACT:
2-(2,2-Dicyclohexylethyl)piperidine is prepared via the catalytic hydrogenation of 2-(2,2-diphenylethenyl)pyridine in a single step. High yields are obtained using an anhydrous Raney nickel catalyst.
