ABSTRACT:
Pyrazines having the formula (I) ##STR1## wherein R is H, methyl, or ethyl are prepared by passing a hydrogen stream containing corresponding diamines having the formula (II) ##STR2## wherein R is same as previously defined, over a copper-chromite catalyst which has been once reduced at 300.degree.-450.degree. C. in a hydrogen-containing stream.
