ABSTRACT:
A process for manufacturing monobloc vehicle wheels. A roughly shaped arte having the general configuration of a cylindrical disc is further formed in a sequence of steps including die stamping and widening in a press to form the final shape in preparation for finishing operations by conventional mechanical machining. These wheels which may be formed from light aluminum based alloys are especially suitable for large vehicles equipped with pneumatic tires.
