ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides an improved process for manufacturing a polypropylene monofilament suture comprising aging a polypropylene filament that has been drawn in two separate drawing steps in the range of from about 4.times.to about 8.5.times.for less than two days then annealing the polypropylene filament to provide a polypropylene suture.
