ABSTRACT:
There is disclosed a process for the preparation of substantially uniform granules of magnesium coated with a mixed salt composition from a eutectic melt. The process comprises the steps of forming globules of magnesium by shear action in a molten eutectic mixed salt bath which is maintained molten at a temperature of at last ten degrees Centrigrade below the freezing temperature of the magnesium.
