ABSTRACT:
A process for making fibers of para-aramid and poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) (PVP) comprising agitating a mixture of solvent acid, para-aramid, and PVP, heating the mixture to form a solution, extruding the solution, drawing the extruded solution, passing the stretched solution through an aqueous coagulating bath to form filaments and washing the filaments.
