ABSTRACT:
Pyrolysis of dioxins adsorbed on a carbonaceous adsorbent such as activated carbon or activated cokes is carried out with much higher efficiency by heating a dioxins-adsorbed carbonaceous adsorbent in the presence of an alkali component in an oxygen-deficient state at a oxygen concentration of not more than 1% or in an inert state at 350.degree. C. or higher for at least one hour.
