ABSTRACT:
A process for increasing the average reaction rate of reduction of UO.sub.2 F.sub.2. The UO.sub.2 F.sub.2 is treated with an organic compound which interacts with the UO.sub.2 F.sub.2. The combination is decomposed to yield UO.sub.2 F.sub.2 in a kinetically reactive state.
