ABSTRACT:
A process is described for improving the properties of a phosphor material comprising an oxysulfide that has been subjected to grinding, in which the phosphor material is heated while exposed to an oxygen-containing atmosphere at a temperature of about 600.degree. to about 1000.degree. C. The processed phosphor material can be used, for instance, in x-ray screens.
