The invention is a process for imparting resistance to ultraviolet light-induced shade change to vat-dyed cellulose flame resistant material by contacting the material, after a flame retardant treatment with a phosphorus flame retardant and ammonia, with an oxidizing solution of hydrogen peroxide, acetic acid and water.
