ABSTRACT:
A continuous process for imparting a crushed appearance to pile fabrics, such as lightweight velvet type fabrics used in upholstery, draperies and the like, wherein the fabrics, in wet form, are continuously accumulated in a mass from a moving length of wet fabric and continuously gravitationally fed to a compression zone where they are compressed to impart a crushed appearance thereto.
