ABSTRACT:
A process for heat treatment to inactive hepatitis virus in human blood coagulation factor XIII compositions, which is characterized in that the heat treatment at 50.degree. to 80.degree. C. of an aqueous solution containing the human blood coagulation factor XIII is carried out for 3 to 15 hours in the presence of 10% (W/V) or more of at least one principal stabilizer selected from the group consisting of neutral amino acids, monosaccharides and sugar alcohols and 10% (W/V) or more of at least one auxiliary stabilizer selected from the group consisting of salts of organic carboxylic acids having 3 to 10 carbon atoms.
