ABSTRACT:
A process for forming a built-up film with high polymers whose film inherently cannot be readily obtained by LB technique comprises modifying the high polymers, and if required, further by cyclizing the product partially or wholly, the produced thin films have extremely excellent heat resistance, good chemical resistance and mechanical characteristics and whose thickness is so small that it is generally hardly attainable, that is, less than 10,000 .ANG., or if desired, super-thin films of 10 to 1000 .ANG..
