ABSTRACT:
A process for dyeing a nitrogen-containing fiber, which comprises dyeing the fiber in a dye bath containing a halogenated hydrocarbon solvent, and a dye complex of an anionic dye with an amine of the formula: represents ##EQU1## wherein R.sub.1 represents a saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon residue having 8 to 22 carbon atoms, R.sub.2 represents a saturated or unsaturated divalent hydrocarbon residue having 2 to 6 carbon atoms, said hydrocarbon residue for R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 may be of a straight or branched chain, n represents an integer of 1 to 4, each member of R.sub.2 may be the same or different when n is 2 or more, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 each respresents a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl or hydroxyalkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 may be the same or different.
