ABSTRACT:
White patterns on synthetic fiber textiles or patterns of a different color on a colored background are produced by dyeing the material with a dyestuff dischargeable to white, drying the material, printing the material with a discharge resist paste and heating the treated material to 100.degree.-230.degree. C. wherein the discharge agent is a base which produces a pH of at least 8 in a 5% strength aqueous solution.
