ABSTRACT:
In order to monitor gas leakage in the tires of a vehicle, absolute gas psure and temperature in the tires are first simultaneously measured. A ratio of the measured pressure to the measured temperature for reach of the tires is then calculated. The calculated ratios are then compared to produce an indicator N and an alarm is issued when this indicator N deviates from a predetermined range of values.
