ABSTRACT:
Disclosed is a process for removing entrained mineral matter particles from shale-oil by contacting the shale-oil with an aqueous ammonium or phosphonium salt solution having a pH of about 0.5 to 8 and at a temperature from about 0.degree. C. to 100.degree. C.
