ABSTRACT:
A process is described for converting carbon oxylsulfide and/or carbon disulfide, possibly in combination with hydrogen cyanide, O.sub.2 and/or SO.sub.2 in a reducing CO containing gas stream by the catalytic hydrolysis of COS and CS.sub.2, followed by the removal of H.sub.2 S, present and formed, from the gas stream.
