ABSTRACT:
A process for the surface treatment of materials, which includes applying on the surface of a material an aqueous composition including: (a) an inorganic silicate or colloidal silica present in an amount from 2 to 95% by weight based on the weight of dry product; and (b) a fluoroelastomer based on vinylidene fluoride (VDF) present in an amount from 5 to 98% by weight based on the weight of dry product.
