ABSTRACT:
A process for preparing aromatic compounds, wherein a gaseous feed containing C.sub.6 to C.sub.20 hydrocarbons is reacted in the presence of a catalyst, which catalyst comprises as its catalytically active component a hydrotalcite-type material having in its uncalcined state the general formula
