ABSTRACT:
A method and apparatus for producing stacks of flat objects, such as printed products28,wherein the printed products are fed to a preliminary stacking compartment20,into which opens the outlet32of an arrangement12for feeding additional sheets14.Located beneath the preliminary stacking compartment is a final compartment36,which can be rotated through180° about a vertical axis of rotation38in order to be able to receive from the preliminary stacking compartment20sub-stacks34which have been rotated in relation to one another. Each sub-stack34may be formed on an additional sheet14in the preliminary stacking means18,as a result of which, in the complete stack54,the sub-stacks34,each forming a layer, are separated from one another by an additional sheet14.
