ABSTRACT:
A method and apparatus for fluidizing materials wherein a gas such as air is fed into conduits through which the materials to be fluidized flow under pressure, said air being fed into the material conducting conduits at angles in the range of 60.degree. to 120.degree. relative to the direction of material flow, the material conducting conduits being coupled with a third conduit for mixing the fluidized materials. The material conducting conduits are flushed by insertion in a container having means for effecting the flow of a solvent and a gas such as air therethrough.
