ABSTRACT:
Reducing deterioration of the printing quality due to the deviation of the dot forming position in the case of printing with multiple print heads.The present invention is a printing apparatus for printing by recording ink dots on a print medium while moving a print head group in a main scan direction. In the printing apparatus closer to a center in the sub-scan direction a nozzle is, greater a recording-target pixel rate is set for the nozzle among the plurality of nozzles on each of the print head. The recording-target pixel rate being a rate of pixels in which the nozzle is in charge of a formation of a dot while the nozzle among the plurality of nozzles passing over one raster line.
